Marisa Westbrook published in the Journal of Social Distress and Homelessness

Send in your bio for the website

We are in the process of updating your graduate profiles on the website. Your profiles are a great way for potential employers and collaborators to get a sense of your research interests, published work, and awards. Please send the information below to Shawna ASAP at HBS.PHD@ucdenver.edu: 

  • A high-resolution headshot (300 DPI with a larger pixel dimension, i.e. 5000 x 4000 pixels)
  • A current CV (if not already supplied to the department)
  • Education and degrees
  • Selected publications
  • Courses TA'ed or taught
  • A list of interdepartmental awards during your time in the program (i.e., research award, service award, outstanding student, etc.)
  • A brief paragraph about yourself, less than 200 words. This can include your research interests, experience related to your field, teaching experience, examples of your work, etc.
  • Optional: Links you would like us to include to outside sources such as researchgate, LinkedIn, Anshutz profiles, etc.

Free CLAS Summer Workshop and Lecture Series

FREE Mindfulness Practice Workshop Series

In this time of stress and uncertainty, CLAS is offering this 8-week program as a free benefit to the entire University of Colorado community. This introductory workshop will show you how to practice mindfulness so that you can decide if you want to practice it on your own. The facilitator will lead you through several standard types of mindfulness practice, including mindful movement, seated mindfulness, and compassion practice. Workshops are facilitated by Jeff Franklin, PhD, Professor of English, certified by the Engaged Mindfulness Institute as a mindfulness instructor.

June 9 - July 28, 2020, Tuesday evenings 5:00pm - 6:30pm

COVID-19: Colorado & Beyond

Join this interdisciplinary series, in which CU Denver faculty share perspectives on COVID-19 from their diverse fields of expertise. Participating departments include Anthropology, Biology, Communication, Economics, Ethnic Studies, Geography, Health & Behavioral Sciences (jimi adams), History, Mathematical & Statistical Sciences, Physics, Psychology, Public Health, and Sociology. Majorie Levine-Clark, PhD, will be the moderator.

June 8-August 3, 2020, Mondays and select Wednesdays from 3:30pm - 4:45pm
