We want your input on Fall 2020 Colloquium

Hi HBS students,

Since I will be organizing the colloquium series this fall, I am seeking your input on topics for professional development workshops. All colloquium meetings will be held via zoom this fall, and I hope this will increase participation from students above Year 3.

Incoming students, please note that the colloquium series in the fall includes two types of meetings: research talks by invited speakers and professional development workshops led by HBS faculty or senior/former students. The workshops are geared toward helping graduate students with professional development.

Please consider topics that will help your career. The series will include professional development topics of interest to students at all stages, so please don't hesitate to let me know if you have something particular in mind. As an example, past series focused on "how to do conferences," "building a research pipeline," "how to write," "ins and outs of dissertation," and "how to succeed with grants.”

Please email me directly at meng.li@ucdenver.edu.

Thanks!

Meng
