Health and Behavioral Sciences

My work in public health has focused on a variety of areas including health literacy, infectious disease surveillance and research, online/e-learning solutions, and non-communicable chronic illnesses in maternal and child populations. My public health interests also include medical anthropology, sustainable food systems and global food fortification efforts, as well as the delivery of cost-effective nutrition interventions.

I serve as CU Denver’s first public health instructor at the International College Beijing, a joint education program with China Agricultural University. This partnership allows me to use my desire to promote health and education equity internationally, creating a global classroom that focuses on inclusion, collaboration and innovation.
