Becky is a doctoral student in the Health and Behavioral Science department and a senior research instructor at the Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering, CU Denver. Her research interests focus on factors that impact best practices in health care provision for people with disabilities and the intersection of disability, race/ethnicity, and socio-economic status and its impact on perceptions of care. Her current research focuses on evaluating structural, social, and cultural factors that influence person-centered care during the provision of complex rehabilitation technologies. Becky has more than 25 years of experience as a clinical occupational therapist and educator and received her Assistive Technology Professional credential in 2001. She has developed, taught, and assisted with teaching a variety of courses at the university level and has presented at conferences on various topics related to assistive technology.
