Teaching and Research Assistantships

Each applicant to both the MA and MS programs is automatically considered for a Teaching Assistant position. At the end of the review process, students who are selected will receive that offer along with their program acceptance letter. TA opportunities are available past a student's first semester as well.

Current students can also apply for Research Assistant roles as they open up or as GES faculty announce them to students. Students will be notified via e-mail as these positions open up.

Tuition Assistance

This type of assistance from the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences is generally only available to graduate students. Incoming graduate students will be automatically considered for program-distributed tuition assistance at the time of admission to the program. Continuing students will be regularly apprised of available aid and positions.
