Kirsten's (Kris') background is in urban studies, political science and cultural studies including historic preservation and cultural landscapes. She has a B.S. in Music Management, a M.S.S in social sciences with emphasis in urban history, political science and historic preservation and a M.U.R.P with an emphasis in urban and rural planning and research all from CU Denver. She is a native Coloradan and currently lives in the house where she grew up. She is her ninth year of teaching and beginning with five years with the Geography and Environmental Sciences department. She is passionate about teaching and helping students reach their potential and realize their goals, no matter what their field of interest is in. Her hobbies include quilting, reading, documentaries, my favorite TV shows and most of all baseball and the Colorado Rockies.
