The LGBTQ Student Resource Center is hosting opportunities over the next month to gather restroom-related feedback from all transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive students, staff, and faculty of the Auraria community (CCD, MSU, UCD, & AHEC included). We will host FIVE listening sessions in October (3 in person, 2 virtual), where everyone is invited to share their input. The three in-person sessions will take place in the Auraria Library and will include free food. The two virtual sessions will take place on Zoom. For dates and times of all five sessions, please click here to visit our sign-up form and RSVP. For folks who prefer to fill out a form instead or can’t make the listening sessions, please click here to complete our feedback form. The form will be open until Friday, November 3rd.
I have the following asks of you if you’re willing:
- For those of you who identify with the populations listed above, please feel free to participate in either the listening sessions or the feedback form. As mentioned above, this project isn’t just for students. While we do ask for some optional demographic information, no names will be attached to the feedback we receive.
- I’m looking for opportunities to get in front of relevant campus audiences and share information about this project (ideally early-mid October). If you’re connected to any relevant campus orgs or courses and are open to inviting me to speak, please let me know.
After gathering feedback, our center will collaborate with AHEC to improve campus information about our gender-inclusive restrooms, and hopefully create helpful standards for any future restroom-related projects. If anyone has questions or concerns, please reach out to me directly. Again, feel free to share this with any and all transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive members of the Auraria community.
