CU Denver Environmental Stewardship of Indigenous Lands, the Fourth World Center, and Native American Student Association presents Winona LaDuke is an internationally renowned indigenous environmental leader and scholar. She is the founder and Executive Director of Honor the Earth, an indigenous-women led organization that has been successful in advancing environmental protection of indigenous peoples’ territories and in incubating grass roots economic self-sufficiency projects on her White Earth Anishinaabe reservation in Minnesota and in other indigenous peoples’ communities across Turtle Island (North America).
