The 16th Annual Undergraduate Experiences Symposium, Belonging, Identity and Success, will bring together CU Denver faculty and staff to learn about practices that promote undergraduate student success. Keynote Speaker Cliff Kapono is a surfer scientist who divides his time between the waves and the lab. Dr. Kapono is Native Hawaiian and draws inspiration from his culture and love of surfing to inspire his work in bioscience. Join us as Dr. Kapono shares the story of his educational journey and the unique path he has forged for himself as a surfer, scientist, journalist, and filmmaker committed to ocean conservation.
