David Hildebrand, Department Chair of Philosophy, recently published a video on audio and philosophy, titled “The Quest for Absolute Sound: What are the Philosophical Stakes for Audiophiles.” Originally presented last month at the 2021 Society for Philosophy of Technology Conference, the video was then featured on the blog of PS Audio CEO, Paul McGowan. In addition, Hans Beekhuyzen, whose celebrated YouTube channel specializes in all-things audio, created a response video after he was “fascinated” by Dr. Hildebrand’s presentation.
