In the last two months, our nation has experienced major challenges to the foundations of our democracy, with accusations of election fraud and an insurrection at the Capitol. Even so, we elected a new president and a vice president, who is the first woman and first person of color in that high office. Many people are now calling for unity to heal the divisions that have been damaging our country. Others say a rush to unity and healing denies accountability for the harms that have been caused. Where do we go from here?
