Psychology Professor Elizabeth Allen (along with students and colleagues at the University of Denver Kayla Knopp, Galena Rhoades, Scott Stanley, and Howard Markman) has been awarded the Excellence in Research on Military and Veteran Families Award from the Military Family Research Institute (MFRI) at Purdue University. The MFRI granted the 2019 award to the paper, "Between- and Within-Subject Associations of PTSD Symptom Clusters and Marital Functioning in Military Couples.” The study, supported by a grant from NICHD, is part of a longitudinal investigation of the emotional and relationship functioning of military couples. This national award is given to investigators who bring visibility to issues of military and veteran families, and who increase the impact of scientific findings on programs, policies, and practitioners.
