Brian Buma’s research continues the longest plant succession study in the world

Assistant Professor of integrative Biology Brian Buma set out in 2016 with a team of researchers to find and expand upon research that was undertaken over a century earlier. The findings of the completed study were published September 9, 2019, in the journal Ecology, and the university recently chronicled his National Geographic sponsored forays to the wilds of Alaska, and beyond.
