Sara Yeatman’s, Associate Professor and Department Chair of Health and Behavioral Sciences, research on over-the-counter access to oral contraceptive pills was cited as one of six studies reviewed in a 2019 systematic review that formed the basis for the World Health Organization’s new recommendation, which states, “Over-the-counter oral contraceptive pills (OCPs) should be made available without a prescription for individuals using OCPs.”
