Recent Mathematical and Statistical Sciences graduate Lauren Hall was awarded the Maurice Davies Award, presented by the Colorado Wyoming Chapter of the American Statistical Association. Maurice Davies was one of the founding members of the Colorado-Wyoming Chapter.  In his honor, each year the chapter recognizes one student who has demonstrated excellence in statistics from each university in the Colorado-Wyoming area.  Excellence in statistics may be defined in terms of academics, teaching or community service.  The recipients are acknowledged at the Chapter's Annual Spring Meeting.
