Serving as the National Communication Association’s elected delegate, Stephen J. Hartnett, Professor of Communication, attended the annual meeting of the American Council of Learned Societies, in New York City, over April 25-27. Hartnett serves on the ACLS’s Executive Committee of Delegates and, partnering with the NCA’s Executive Director, Trevor Parry-Giles, co-led an afternoon workshop on “The Civic Roles of the Learned Societies in the Age of Alternative Facts.”
