Communication MA student Eli Woody Scrivner had an op-ed published by The Capital-Journal. "We engage in binary thinking by creating two sides in a conversation, and these two sides almost always boil down to ‘right’ or ‘wrong.’ When we hear someone present a standpoint that is different than ours, instead of asking them why they think that or trying to empathize and understand them, we fight."
