In July 2017, Marty Otanez, Associate Professor in Anthropology, participated in a working group on ethics at Untold- An Un-Conference about Digital Storytelling at University of East London, England. Otanez, with funds from CU Online, also produced the video series Hopped Up Anthropology. Themes of the videos cover sexting (when someone sends sexually explicit photographs via mobile phone), digital storytelling, ethnography, rape and justice in Uganda, and labor activism. The videos are resources for instructors to use in university courses in the social sciences.
