Horton Staying Very Busy This Semester

Associate Professor of Anthropology Sarah Horton has a new co-authored piece out: "Immigrant Labor, Food Politics: A Dialogue Between Four Authors of Recent Books on the Food System" in Gastronomica. She delivered an invited lecture, "Ghost Workers: The Labor Implications of Governing Immigration through Crime," at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL on 2/21 and gave two guest lectures in classes. She was invited to join the Steering Committee for the University's Latino Health Certificate, she was a reviewer of graduate student dissertation fellowships for the Center for Engaged Scholarship, and she spoke at the "Lunch and Learn: Integrating Course-Based Research Experiences," Feb. 7, a roundtable sponsored by the UC Denver Center for Faculty Development. She also delivered a joint Safe Zone training session for the LGBTQ Committee.
