Liaisons

A faculty liaison is a faculty member at the University of Colorado Denver who is selected by their academic department to monitor the quality, rigor, and equivalency of all dual enrollment courses and their instructors.  The liaison supports instructors by assisting with course materials, performing site visits, and providing professional development opportunities.

Faculty Liaison Responsibilities

  • Review new high school instructors for approval to teach as CU Succeed lecturer
  • Visit high school instructors on-site the first year of approval and at least once every three years following the initial visit; submit a site visit report form
  • Provide guidance concerning university and program guidelines
  • Supply high school teachers with current sample syllabi, sample exams, and other course materials as needed
  • Review course syllabi when submitted
  • Plan and assist with annual instructor professional development; submit professional development activity form; submit new instructor training form
  • Provide new course orientation to instructors who plan on teaching a new-to-them course
