The Alliance for Higher Education in Prison Incarcerated Scholars Conference
When: October 28-29, 2026
The Incarcerated Scholars Conference is coming up this October, and it remains one of the most important dates on the calendar for the HEP community. This virtual event is all about handing the mic to currently incarcerated students and alumni, giving them a national platform to share the research and creative work they’ve been grinding on. This year’s theme, "Learning in Motion," focuses on how education actually functions and evolves behind bars. It’s more than just a series of presentations; it’s a space that cuts through the typical noise about prison and focuses on the intellectual contributions of the people living through it. If you’re looking to present, get your proposals in by July 12. Public registration will open up later this summer.
