MA students may pursue the thesis or non-thesis option. In keeping with Anthropology's holistic nature, students are required to take two core classes in their own chosen subfield and two core classes in a second subfield. MA students earn 6 to 18 credit hours in a research concentration of their choice.
Research Concentrations (6-18 credit hours)
You will round out your program by selecting from the diverse range of courses we offer in our three concentrations—Medical Anthropology, Biological Anthropology, and Archaeology—according to your particular interests. You may take courses in one or more concentrations as well as in other departments and schools.
