Applicants who do not plan to complete a University of Colorado Denver bachelor’s degree, may be admitted as non-degree students. Non-degree programs work for people who want to take a course for professional development, personal interest, or simple curiosity. It is also a great way for students enrolled at other institutions to earn extra credit by taking summer classes at CU Denver.
Non-degree programs are also a good way to discover if CU Denver is right for you. Students who first attend non-degree programs may ultimately decide to apply for traditional degree-granting undergraduate or graduate admission. Find more information about how to apply as a non-degree student here.
Courses for Non-Degree Seeking Students
Many classes listed in the Academic Catalog are available to non-degree seeking students. You may also apply as a degree seeking student to take Denver Campus courses, but only do so if your intention is to pursue a CU Denver degree.
If you wish to enroll in courses identified as Continuing and Professional Education, do not apply for nondegree admission. See your program for application information
