One of the central elements of effective teaching is scaffolding assignments in order to enable student learning and achieve course goals. In this workshop, we will define the four types of course goals and identify what those goals are for your course. Building on your specific goals, we will work backwards from the final course assignment to create a sequence of activities, experiences, and assignments unique to your course.
