Millie (she/her) has her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of New Mexico. She is currently a graduate student at CU Denver in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling M.A. program. Millie looks forward to beginning work as a mental health counselor, and is fascinated by group dynamics, social psychology, and complex trauma. Outside of work and school, Millie loves reading memoirs, analyzing reality tv through a systemic lens, long walks with her husband and dogs, and sleeping in.
Millie was homeschooled K-12 and felt like an outsider when she entered higher education. She attributes her ability to succeed academically to her Composition 1 professor, who helped her learn basic writing strategies Millie still employs. She believes the best stance one can take to writing is that of a life-long learner.
