Caitrin has her BA in English and Sociology from the University of Vermont and her MA in English Literature from CU Denver. Whenever she sits in Denver traffic too long (which is daily), she dreams of moving back to Vermont and buying a farmhouse with a wrap-around porch. She has yet to do this not because she is terrified of ticks and despises humidity.

In addition to her work at the Writing Center, Caitrin also teaches college-level composition and works as a freelance writer and editor. She further holds the very important job of mom to two young sons, which has subsequently taught her more about trains, construction vehicles, patience, and all-consuming love and worry than she previously knew.

When not working, she enjoys list-making, sewing, crafting, running, and travelling. Caitrin also obsessively consumes literature on time-management, productivity, and happiness, and she is always on one side of the continuum of total chaos or nearly achieving total life balance. Seemingly, there is no in-between.

Caitrin believes that writing is one of the most important skills a person can develop to set themselves apart in any career trajectory, but she acknowledges the process of doing so is ever ongoing.
