Dr. Paula Schmidtlein serves as an Instructor of Psychology at the University of Colorado Denver.  Within the Department of Psychology, she is involved in teaching, and mentoring. She is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Colorado and is PSYPACT credentialed.

Dr. Paula Schmidtlein was a collegiate soccer player and Coached briefly at the D-1 level.  She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver, and has a Masters degrees in Counseling Psychology and Clinical Psychology.

Throughout her training, Dr. Schmidtlein provided clinical services at the Women’s Crisis Center, Kaiser, the University of Denver Health and Counseling Center, and AMEND. Over the years she has taught courses at many local Universities at the Undergraduate and Graduate level. Further, she continues to work as a clinician allowing her to stay current in methodologies and best practices and enhance her ability to make course material come alive.

Dr. Schmidtlein is passionate about education and helping people.
