As the 2025-2026 Academic Years winds to a close, Political Science extends hearty congratulations to some of our most highly achieved student authors!
HONORS CANDIDATES
We have four students presenting their graduation honors projects to the faculty this semester. We congratulate each of these students on their high academic performance, earning them the right to produce and defend a thesis for honors consideration to the Political Science faculty.
- Ann Louise Chamoun: "Military Ecocide: Ecological Consequences of Military Operations and a Call for International Law"
- Aminaemilia Paulis: "Between Ink and Silk: Tattooing, Veiling, Piety and Power in the Middle East"
- Lily Psznowsky: "Deradicalizing Queer: Spaces of Resistance and Accommodation, from New York to Denver"
- Zach Schairer: "Disaster Politics:Donald Trump and the Legitimation of Extremism through Crisis"
We also recognize the honors-level thesis of Hazzel Chavira, who worked closely with Political Science faculty in producing her honors work. Hazzel is a Communication major and Political Science minor, so her honors work will be presented to the Department of Communication, rathter than Political Science. Her thesis is titled "White Supremacy and The Weaponization of “Civility” and “Decorum” in the Legislative Proces".
