Internship Opportunities with 2026 U.S. Senate Calderon Campaign

CU Denver students have been invited to participate in a new internship opportunity with the early-stage campaign of Amanda Calderon, a candidate running for the United States Senate in Colorado in 2026.

The campaign is currently assembling its team and is seeking student interns from fields including political science, public policy, business, communications, and related areas.

Students who join the internship program would gain first-hand experience across several areas of campaign work, including:

Campaign Operations and Management

Political Communications and Social Media

Public Policy Research

Donor Outreach and Fundraising Strategy

Voter Engagement and Field Organizing

Volunteer Coordination

Administrative Support

Because the campaign is in its early stages, interns may have the opportunity to contribute directly to strategy, outreach, digital content, messaging, and field operations.

At present, these positions are unpaid. However, the campaign notes that funding may later allow for some paid roles, and many students may be eligible to receive academic credit through CU Denver’s internship programs. For students interested in gaining real-world experience in politics, building professional networks, or exploring future careers in public service, this opportunity may provide valuable hands-on learning.

Students or faculty wishing to learn more can contact the campaign to discuss internship structure, supervision, and expected outcomes, email to contact: calderon4colorado@gmail.com

CU Denver Political Science does not endorse the campaigns of any candidate or party.  We will share volunteer and internship opportunities from all of Colorado’s diverse political parties as they are presented to us.
