At this time of tremendous political pressure on university leaders, faculty, and students, a public letter regarding the importance of academic freedom has been issued by several faculty members of the Political Science Department. In this statement, these political science faculty express deep concern for the ever-expanding political interference now endangering American higher education by limiting what can be said or taught in our university communities.
