We recognize students face many financial barriers while attempting to create their degree, including housing obstacles and reliable access to nutritious food.
We want all students that are interested in joining this community to have access and hope to benefit from the participation and leadership of students who have personal insight and experience with these financial challenges.
We have developed a financial support system which includes funding for your housing unit and a funded meal plan.
We can currently support 3-5 students with this assistance. If you are interested in learning more and applying please complete the interest form.
Eligibility criteria include:
- Financial need
- Interest in becoming a campus and community leader on issues of civic engagement and housing justice
- Will be a student in the Fall of 2018
We are particularly interested in supporting students such as:
- First Generation college students
- Unaccompanied Homeless Youth
- Students from traditionally underrepresented communities
- Low-Income students
- Students with personal experience with housing and/or food insecurity
All information will be confidential and funding recipients will not be made public to the broader LLC!
