Spend eight weeks studying in the heart of Europe with the University of Colorado Denver’s Bridging Global Divides program in Germany and Czechia. Based primarily in Berlin, students earn 9 undergraduate or graduate credits through three courses (PUAD and PSCI) exploring the social dimensions of energy transitions, the management and role of environmental NGOs, and the rise and fall of dictatorships. The program combines classroom learning with experiential education through multiple field trips and a week-long stay in Prague, where CU Denver students study alongside students from Charles University as part of an intensive joint seminar. Students live either in shared apartments or with German host families, providing opportunities to experience everyday life in Germany as well as its politics and culture.

At $7,750 (plus airfare and personal expenses), the program fee includes tuition for 9 credits, housing, health insurance, field trips, and the Prague program, making this an affordable way to earn (nearly) a full semester of credits while studying abroad. The 2027 program runs August 22–October 16, with applications due March 1, 2027, and scholarships are available.
