The Political Science Department is proud to announce the induction of the 2026 class of new members of the Pi Sigma Alpha national Political Science honor society. Eligibility to join this honor society requires junior/senior or graduate student standing, and an undergraduate GPA placing a person in the top 25% of their university class. It is a worthy achievement of academic excellence and we hope all our new members feel rightly proud of their work at CU Denver. An induction ceremony was held on February 19th, where students shared amazing future goals ranging from DC law clerkships, to earning a PhD, to becoming the president of Columbia and the Navajo Nation.
Not all new inductees could be at the event, but pictured here from left to right are: Mark Ortiz (chapter president), Professor Thorsten Spehn, Professor Michael Berry, Kayla Frawley, Professor James Walsh, Claireabelle Balmas, Ethan Yoho, Angesom Teferi, Adil "A" Erradi, Karoline McKinney, Bridget Myers, Lorenzo Muzylowski, Audrey Abel, Professor Olukayode Bakare, Sarah Zeynalilaki, Professor Tony Robinson, Francisco Chica, and Kevin Castillo. Congratulations, everyone!
