Judicial Officer Outreach Program Open for All

Published: Jan. 6, 2026

The Colorado Judicial Branch is offering an opportunity for students and community members to connect with judges across the state to inspire interest in public service and illuminate the work of the courts through the Judicial Officer Outreach (JOO) Program.

Those interested are able to join in engaging dialogue with Colorado judges and law clerks to explore judicial pathways, ethics, clerkships, and careers in public service in small-group sessions. These small-group sessions provide a unique opportunity to ask questions, hear personal stories, and gain insight into the role of the judiciary. You will be able to experience live court proceedings followed by a guided conversation with a judicial officer. Learn how cases move through the system, observe courtroom decorum, and better understand the judicial decision-making process.

You will also be provided the opportunity to hear directly from judges, clerks, and legal professionals as they discuss judicial ethics, leadership, and pathways to the bench. These panels offer students a broader understanding of the judiciary’s work and its human side.

Students and educators across Colorado are invited to participate in these statewide initiatives designed to strengthen understanding of the courts and foster the next generation of leaders in law and public service.
