At CU Denver Politicial Science, we believe that every student has a unique voice, perspective and talent worth sharing. Our student spotlight articles highlight exceptional projects, research, and creations that showcase the hard work and dedication of our learners.
In this feature, we're proud to share the work of Prabina Acharya and Claire Balmas, two students working on a research project gathering information about who is bured in the pauper cemetery in Leadville where the Irish Memorial is located. Their research will inform this memorial for decades to come.
We're also proud to share that Daniel Torres-Diaz is doing research into the victims of the 1921 Pueblo Flood and he has been selected to present his research for the Board.
Each of these student projects reflects the energy, curiosity, and commitment that drive the Colorado Labor Education Collaborative (CLEC). As CLEC takes on an expanded role within our department, the team’s research continues to strengthen connections between students, educators, and communities across Colorado. We’re proud to highlight their contributions and look forward to the continued impact of CLEC’s work in advancing labor education and research in the years to come.
