CU Denver School of Public Affairs would like to cordially invite you to a First Friday Breakfast Series event.

Join CU Denver’s School of Public Affairs for an insightful discussion on the affordable housing crisis in Colorado, featuring faculty experts from CU Denver. This panel will explore the current challenges in affordable housing, including its effects on unhoused populations, as well as how CU Denver is addressing the issue through research, education, and community engagement.

Moderated by Dr. Tanya Heikkila, SPA professor and co-Director of the Center for Policy and Democracy, the session will focus on the innovative research underway at CU Denver and the critical training future policymakers and professionals need to address this pressing issue. CU Denver faculty panelists include:

  • Robin Kniech, J.D., Director of the New Directions in Politics and Public Policy, Department of Political Science
  • Dr. Carrie Makarewicz, Associate Professor and Department Chair of Urban and Regional Planning
  • Dr. Annie Miller, Associate Dean of Student Success and Strategic Initiative, School of Public Affairs
