South Korea Study Abroad Program

The PSCI department is offering a chance to go abroad to South Korea! This program will explore one of the world's largest and most technically advanced cities, while also taking students into remote traditional Korean communities, including mountain hikes to shaman sites and overnight stays at traditional Confucian villas. By exploring the palaces, temples, and coastal communties of traditional Korea, students will encounter the challenges involved in transitioning from traditional life to becoming a global economic powerhouse. You will explore the legacy of the Korean War and the process by which a devastated country rose to experience the most rapid urbanization project in the world. This program is worth 4 credits (PSCI 4995/5995)

This trip will go from May 23 - June 13, 2025 and the deadline to apply is March 3, 2025

The program fee is $4,780 + airfare along with personal expenses however there are scholarships availible for this program including the Matson, Wolf, and Thomas study abroad scholarships. These scholarships open Tuesday, November 12 and close on Friday, December 6. Students must plan on participating in the PSCI Korea Study Abroad program to apply and qualify for these study abroad scholarships. To apply, email the required materials to Tony Robinson.
