Following the unveiling of the Irish Miners Memorial in fall of 2023, Professor Jim Walsh has continued to give public talks and engage in important discussion regarding his research on the Irish Diaspora. Last summer in Ireland, Professor Walsh met with administrators and professors at Atlantic Technological University, gave a talk at the Gaelic Cultural Center in County Donegal, and was recognized by political leaders in County Mayo for being runner up for a research award.
