This is a paid position that begins in FALL 2023 (ASAP) and runs for 10-11 months.  Andrew Kroll, a CU alum and experienced Lakewood attorney, runs a program for part-time, paid law clerks that allows students to gain resume-building, real-world experience in a private law firm in the areas of estate planning, asset protection, and marital property planning without taking time away from studies.

The job has a very limited time commitment (average is typically 5-12 hours total per week).  The firm hires clerks to work Mondays and Fridays, in their Lakewood office, usually after 11:00 a.m. through 4:00 or 5:00pm. Applications will be reviewed in 2-3 weeks.

Candidates need to be able to travel to Lakewood (10 minutes west of downtown, within walking distance from light rail)

This is not a one semester or summer-only type position, we ask that students seeking that type of opportunity kindly not apply, as there are generally more than 3-5 or more times the qualified applicants to slots.  This is a commitment, but it’s also a truly unique opportunity for the right candidate.  It also tends to be a fun, low stress environment that allows for mentoring and exploration of professional interests
