Professor Karen Sugar, CU Denver Political Science faculty and alumnus, founded the Women's Global Empowerment Fund (WGEF) while studying as a graduate student at CU. The WGEF is celebrating International Women's Day by hosting a lively event that includes an informative panel discussion on Women, Leadership, and Embracing Equity! The event will also include "Sips and Shopping for a Cause" as attendees can enjoy wine and merchandise, the profits of which will go partially to the WGEF.
