CU Denver undergraduate researcher Dagoberto Grijalva-Flores earned the Best Student Poster Award at the 2025 National Organic Chemistry Symposium (NOS), hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in upstate New York.
A student in the lab of Dr. Marino Resendiz, Associate Professor of Chemistry, Grijalva-Flores is exploring how oxidative lesions in RNA affect its structure and function-work that may provide new insights into the connection between oxidative stress and disease progression.
Recognized for their outstanding research and academic achievement, Grijalva-Flores also received travel grants from both the Colorado Section of the American Chemical Society (COACS) and NOS to support their participation at the conference.
