New Directions is excited to partner with the College of Architecture and Planning and the School of Public Affairs to offer an Affordable Housing Graduate Certificate. This certificate is designed for professionals and current graduate students who want to build specialized expertise in the design, finance, policy, planning, and development of affordable housing. Through this flexible program, students gain the multidisciplinary knowledge and practical perspective needed to help address Colorado’s most pressing housing challenges.
New Directions offers 2–3 courses that count toward the 12–13 credit hour certificate, with additional courses provided by our partner programs. New Directions MA students may apply their 6 “out-of-department” credits toward certificate coursework, allowing many students to complete most—or all—of the certificate within the 33-credit New Directions MA program (depending on course selections, an additional 1-credit development course may be required).
Scholarships are available to help offset a portion of the certificate course costs. Visit the Affordable Housing Certificate page to learn more.
