How to Enroll in New Directions Courses Without a Degree or Certificate

You are welcome to register directly for any New Directions course. However, if you are interested in registering for the first time, please feel free to reach out to the program director who can also answer questions and support you through the process.

1) Choose your educational level and apply to gain access to course registration. Most of our courses are "cross-listed" which means they are open to both graduate and undergraduate level students based on your prior educational experience.

Graduate Continuing and Professional Education Applicant

  • For students with any undergraduate (bachelor's or similar) degree.

Undergraduate Continuing and Professional Education Applicant

  • For students with a high school degree and/or some college but no undergraduate degree.

* You should not be prompted for an application fee if you register using these continuing and professional education links.

2) Find a course that you're interested in taking.

3) Register for your course!

Once you get notice that your application has been processed, you will receive information on how to log into your student portal where you can register! Follow these detailed instructions for how to register for courses. Be sure to select “Extended Studies” as your campus (Not “Denver Campus”).

4) Decide on credit/no credit.

With instructor permission, you may have the option of taking a course without being graded. Contact the program director or the faculty member teaching your course for permission. Tuition still applies regardless of your selection.

How much do courses cost?

Graduate level courses are just under $1600 for just under 40 hours of instruction. Community registrants are not eligible for financial aid or scholarships, but check with your employer about tuition reimbursement for continuing and professional education.
