Role Description
Are you interested in working for the Department of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences as a Grader?
Graders are responsible for assisting the course instructor with grading/assessment activities. This is primarily grading written work with the help of rubrics and/or answer keys and entering grades into Canvas. Graders do not directly interact with students in the course.
Currently Graders are hired at $19.29/hour for the Fall 2026 semester.
Requirements:
- Grader appointments are reserved for CU Denver students actively enrolled and participating in an approved undergraduate or graduate program.
- Applicants will be subject to a background check prior to hiring.
Important Notes on Employment:
Students may work a maximum of 25 hours per week or 50 hours total per biweekly payroll period during the fall and spring semesters, provided that no single week in that period exceeds 40 hours. International students may work a maximum of 20 hours per week. Work hour limits apply to all positions held at CU combined. You must disclose to your employing department any other employment you have with the University of Colorado.

- (a) What courses are you interested in grading? What MATH courses do you have experience in? How many hours per week are you interested in grading?
- (b) What skills or past experience would make you a good grader?
- (c) Some courses include assignments that use Python or R. If you are interested in grading these courses, please describe your experience with either or both programming languages.
