Kristin M. Kilbourn, PhD, MPH, is Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver). Dr. Kilbourn earned her MPH in Health Promotion at San Diego State University in California, followed by a PhD in Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Dr. Kilbourn has authored numerous articles for professional journals and has presented her research at several national and international meetings and conferences. She mentors doctoral students at CU Denver where she has an active research lab. She is currently involved in several research projects relating to psychosocial oncology, cancer survivorship (patient and family issues), and palliative care. She also works with medical patients and their families at the University of Colorado and National Jewish Health. Dr. Kilbourn was a co-developer of the in-person Cognitive Behavioral Treatment manual for the in-person randomized controlled trial with caregivers of patients receiving allogeneic-HSCT; Psychoeducation, Paced Respiration and Relaxation (PEPRR).
