SkillSoft Training:
If you are a new employee or think you might need some refresher courses, SkillSoft training is available by clicking on the Training menu item from the employee portal. 

Once you have logged into the employee portal,  select the navigation icon in the upper right-hand corner:

Select CU Resources:                                     

Select Training:

Start Skillsoft:

From the Skillsoft page you can search for the Skillsoft training you need:

• All employees should take and pass the CU: Information Security and Privacy Awareness training.
• Employees who work with student information, including grades, need to take and pass the CU: FERPA training… this includes anyone teaching.
• Employees who work with health care information need to take and pass the CU: HIPAA Regulations training.
• Employees who take credit card payments or work any kind of payment data need to take and pass the CU: IT Security PCI DSS v3 training.

There are courses on FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act – which protects the privacy of student educational records), HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act—which provides data privacy and security provisions for safeguarding medical information) and PCI (Payment Card Industry — security standards designed to ensure that ALL companies that accept, process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment) data, Information Security and other IT topics that can help you get up to speed in IT security.
