Aedes aegypti is a pantropical mosquito species as well as the principal vector of dengue, Zika, yellow fever and several other viruses. Because of its medical importance and thanks to its ease of lab rearing and extensive research history, it is an ideal model organism for undergraduate research projects. Dr. Gray will present work performed by her students over the past few years that has been focused on examining the eco-physiology of various populations, some of which are evolving insecticide resistance.
Everyone is welcome to the seminar. If you would like to meet with the speaker, please email Dr. Brian Buma at brian.buma@ucdenver.edu
