CU System Office of the President solicits submissions for the for the President’s DEI awards and grants.

President’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Award

This annual award honors individuals and units who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and made significant contributions to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion within the University of Colorado community. Four awards may be given each year which include $2,000 and a commemorative plaque. Nominations for this award are open now with a deadline of March 3, 2023. A reception to honor those selected will be held at 1800 Grant Street on April 20, 2023 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

*Full-time CU Faculty members with the rank of professor, associate professor, assistant professor, senior instructor, or instructor.

President’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Grants

The nomination period for the President’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion grants opens on Monday, February 6, 2023. The President's DEI Grants are designed to fund innovative and creative projects that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the University of Colorado. Proposal funding is for one year with a maximum request of $8,000 per year. However, a proposal may be considered for a second year of funding pending demonstration of positive impact and submittal of annual report that aligns with the timeline for the following year funding. Second year funding is not guaranteed.

Eligibility: Grant proposals must be submitted by CU faculty* or staff. Students or student groups interested in submitting a proposal will need to have a faculty or staff sponsor submit the proposal and include a letter of support.
