Dr. Diana Tomback and Laurel Sindewald, PhD Candidate, have been awarded grant funding by the National Park Service for research on limber pine in Rocky Mountain National Park. The study will estimate the relationship between elevation and viable limber pine seed production at high elevations in the park through a combination of seed dissections and germination. The funding supports raising any surviving two-year-old limber pine seedlings in the Integrative Biology greenhouse for restoration planting in the Cameron Peak fire burn area.
