Ask the Expert: adVentures in Innovation

The CCTSI, in collaboration with Venture Partners at CU Boulder, CSU Ventures, Colorado State University and the CU Anschutz NIH funded Research Evaluation and Commercialization Hubs (REACH) program presents Ask the Expert: adVentures in Innovation.

Dr. Michael L. Mestek, director of Market Development for Medtronic will discuss Tales from the “Dark Side”: Finding Pathways to Rewarding Industry Careers and Relationships.

Dr. Mestek is the Market Development Director for Medtronic’s Patient Monitoring business. He and his teams are experts in developing and executing global programs designed to increase market access to technologies that provide insights and intelligence to help clinicians reduce dangerous and costly patient complications in acute care.  He holds a PhD in kinesiology and is not only a volunteer with the Colorado BioScience Institute but with Project C.U.R.E., the world’s largest distributor of donated medical equipment and supplies, where he serves on the Ambassador Board and as an International Needs Assessor, arranging for donations to resource-limited communities across the globe.

This lunchtime series is designed for researchers and academics who are interested in entrepreneurship, pharmaceutical, device and technology development and innovation. Each month, skillful interviewers will engage in an enlightening conversation with an expert, followed by a Q&A session.

The series will take place on Zoom.

The next session takes place Monday, May 10, 2021 at 12pm (MT).

Dr. Michael Mestek will be interviewed by Dr. Cathy Bodine of the CCTSI.
